Community Outreach
Making a Difference
Realizing our collective future is in our own hands and taking pride in reaching out, at Womack Electric Supply, we believe in thinking globally and acting locally.
Our community outreach programs are specifically designed to allow us to work as partners with our customers to make a positive impact on our communities tomorrow.
See below for more information about our community outreach programs…
Paid Volunteer Time for Employees
Womack Electric Supply and Crescent Electric Supply recognizes it is our responsibility as a good corporate citizen to help enrich our surrounding communities. We encourage our employees to become involved in their
communities, lending voluntary support to programs that positively impact the quality of life within these communities.
Full-time employees are able to take up to 8 hours of paid volunteer time per year for serving as volunteers at qualifying, eligible nonprofit organizations.
Breast Cancer Research Donations
At Crescent Electric, and Womack Electric, we’re committed to helping in the ongoing fight to bring an end to breast cancer. In October, Crescent donates to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, the country’s highest-rated breast cancer research organization.
Visit the BCRF website to learn more or to make a personal donation.
Habitat for Humanity Support
Habitat for Humanity builds decent and affordable homes around the world in partnership with families in need. Habitat houses are designed to meet the homeowner families’ needs while keeping costs as low and affordable as possible.
Womack Electric Supply is pleased to support local Habitat for Humanity construction projects with gifts in-kind of donated electrical construction supplies. Contributions large and small continue to make a difference, and this is one way Womack Electric Supply can give to allow us to help even more families build better futures.
Past Community Outreach Programs
Food for Families (2010-2020)
The Food for Families food drive was held annually in July. Each Womack Electric Supply branch served as a drop off location for non-perishable food donations.
All customers, along with the local community, were encouraged to support the drive by donating non-perishable and canned food items including beans, vegetables, meats, soup, fruit and much more.
Give a Kid a Bike (2010-2020)
The Give a Kid a Bike outreach campaign was held annually from mid-October to mid-December. Each Womack Electric Supply branch served as a drop off location for purchased bicycles or monetary donations. All monetary donations were used to purchase as many bikes as possible.
Donated bikes were delivered to charitable organizations for distribution to kids in local communities, putting a smile on many children’s faces during the holiday season.
