Electrical Circuit Integrity Systems
Fire-Resistive Rated Systems & Capabilities
The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) has fire resistive rating requirements for a 2-hour fire rating on all emergency life safety power feeds for commercial applications and a 1 or 2-hour fire rating on all emergency life safety power feeds for travel infrastructure. Roadway tunnels (NFPA 502) require a 2-hour rating while Transit (NFPA 130) require a 1-hour rating. These requirements are set forth in the NEC. The purpose is to provide for survivability of critical circuits to ensure continued operation during a specified time under fire conditions.
Understanding these new requirements and codes and how they affect your project can be a daunting task. The experienced staff of Womack Electric Supply is here to assist you, ensuring accurate specification and selection of compliant products via
our in-depth nation-wide inventories through parent company, Crescent Electric Supply, and partnerships with premiere suppliers.

Prysmian Draka’s Lifeline® RHW-2 Power Cables have been qualified and listed to the demanding requirements of UL 2196, Tests for Fire Resistive Cables.
Lifeline® Cables are preferred over Mineral Insulated (MI) cables, concrete encasement or the construction of fire rated assemblies based on the facts that Lifeline® RHW-2 Cables are less costly, easier to install, and readily available. Lifeline® RHW-2 Cables can be used in numerous construction applications for fire pumps, life-safety lighting, ventilation systems, elevators, and other specific emergency feeder applications to provide survivability during a fire when installed in accordance with FHIT 25C.
Atkore FRE Composites fiberglass conduit system consists of conduits, elbows, fittings, and adaptors. Using a phenolic resin-based matrix, it is designed to provide transit, utilities, and industry with a non-metallic corrosion resistant, flame resistant, low-smoke, non-toxic conduit system that is suitable for high temperature installations and in commercial construction applications.
Atkore FRE Composites BreathSaver® XW Conduit system products meet the most stringent industry requirements for safety.
Resolve One’s NEMA 4X fire resistive stainless-steel enclosures are the only enclosures in the country approved for use with FRE Composites BreathSaver® conduit and Prysmian’s Lifeline® RHW-2 fire resistive cable in both vertical and horizontal conduit installations. This 2-hour fire rated assembly (conduit/wire/enclosure) is ideal for emergency and lifeline feeds in commercial applications and buildings with elevators, fire pumps, emergency egress lighting, etc.
Resolve One offers additional pre-fabrication and custom construction solutions bridging design, application, equipment, and successful installation
